Spiralizing

I was quite intrigued by the term ‘spiralizing’ – had to get on that bandwagon!  Not only does it make vegetables ‘taste’ different – it makes you cook healthier.  I researched models and found this high-rated model:

I am quite happy with it and have now bought it as gifts and suggested its purchase to countless friends.  Why use it: 1) It’s fun 2) You tend to use veggies that you would not have tried previously. 3) The combinations are endless.

My favorite things to spiralize:

  1. Zucchini – I was not much of a zucchini fan prior to owning the spiralizer – but now I am a convert – ‘zoodles’ as they are called, are all the rage and are making non-veggie eaters unite for the cause!
  2. Sweet Potatoes – Love, love, love the great taste of a spiralized sweet potato.
  3. Onions & Potatoes – a mixture of both, topped with salt, pepper and olive oil – high roasted on a sheet pan – makes a wonderful side dish.
